Management  ›  Vision & Mission

Our vision

Where all of this
is going.

To be the school in this region where a child is known well enough to be stretched, and safe enough to be himself — and leaves able to hold his own anywhere in the world.
The Keystage vision

Our mission

Five commitments we
can be held to.

A mission is only useful if someone can check whether you did it. Each of these has a measure attached.

01

Know every child

Capped class sizes, a named teacher per group, and a leadership team that can discuss any child without opening a file.

02

Teach for understanding

The Pearson Edexcel curriculum, delivered so that children can explain their reasoning, not just repeat an answer.

03

Grow the whole child

Sport, music, dance and art timetabled for every grade, every week — assessed and reported like any other subject.

04

Keep the campus safe

Verified staff, controlled entry, full CCTV, female attendants for personal care, and drills that are actually run.

05

Open the widest door

Qualifications and guidance that leave a student able to apply to universities in India and abroad on equal terms.

Our values

Six words, used as
a decision rule.

Values are worth writing down only if they settle arguments. These do — when a decision at Keystage is contested, it is tested against this list.

Kindness

The first thing a visitor should notice. How children speak to one another matters as much as how they perform.

Curiosity

We would rather a child asked a difficult question than gave a tidy answer. Curiosity is protected here, not tolerated.

Rigour

Warm does not mean soft. Work is marked honestly, standards are held, and a child is told plainly what to fix.

Responsibility

Children clear their own tables, run their own councils and lead their own assemblies. Ownership is taught early.

Integrity

We tell parents the truth about their child, including when it is uncomfortable, and we do it early rather than at year end.

Openness

To other cultures, other views and other paths. A Keystage student should be at ease anywhere.

The graduate profile

What a child should be
able to do by Grade 12.

Working backwards from the exit is the only honest way to design a school. This is the specification we build towards.

01

Think it through

Structure an argument, weigh evidence and change their mind when the evidence says so.

02

Say it clearly

Speak and write in English with precision and confidence, to an audience of any size.

03

Work with anyone

Lead a team, follow well, and disagree without making it personal.

04

Keep going

Sit with a hard problem past the point of comfort, and finish what was started.

05

Stand somewhere

Hold a considered position on things that matter, and act on it.

Where we are heading

The strategic plan,
in plain figures.

The four commitments the Trust has funded and holds itself to over the current planning cycle.

1:15
Class size cap
Held, not raised to fill a year group
I–XII
One continuous school
Age two to eighteen on one campus
4
Specialist facilities
Labs, library, art studio, movement hall
100%
Timetabled arts & sport
Every grade, every week

Come and check
whether we mean it.

Visit on a working morning. Values are easy to print and hard to fake for two hours in a corridor.
